The Enneagram is often introduced as a map of personality — a way to understand our habits, motivations, and defenses. But when held within a contemplative perspective, it becomes a way of seeing the patterns that shape us while awakening to our deepest Self, both beneath and within our patterns.

Each of the 9 Types carries its own wisdom, its own struggle, and its own doorway into compassion, freedom, and wholeness. Rather than trying to escape our personality, this summit invites us to become more awake within it — discovering how our very patterns can become pathways into contemplative awareness.

Through in-depth teaching, shared contemplative practice, and real-time interaction, our 2nd Contemplative Enneagram Summit offers a sacred space to explore personality not as a fixed identity, but as living ground for compassion, freedom, and inner transformation.

Expanding the Circle: Inclusivity, Representation, and the Future of the Enneagram

Expanding the Circle: Inclusivity, Representation, and the Future of the Enneagram

A 90-Minute Live Panel Discussion

As the Enneagram continues to grow across coaching, therapy, leadership development, education, and spiritual formation, so does the opportunity—and responsibility—to ask deeper questions about who feels seen, heard, and represented within our community.

How do we create spaces where more people experience belonging? How do we honor diverse perspectives while maintaining the depth and integrity of the Enneagram tradition? And what role do practitioners play in shaping the future of this work?

In this thoughtful panel conversation, four respected leaders in the Enneagram community will explore the evolving conversation around inclusivity, representation, and responsible practice. Drawing from their unique backgrounds in psychology, education, organizational leadership, coaching, social justice, and community building, the panelists will share both personal insights and practical perspectives on where the field is today—and where it has the opportunity to grow.

This session is designed for Enneagram practitioners, coaches, therapists, spiritual directors, educators, organizational consultants, and anyone committed to cultivating more inclusive and transformative Enneagram spaces.

At its heart, this conversation is about expanding our awareness. As practitioners, how do we continue growing in the ways we teach, coach, facilitate, and lead? How do we better serve individuals whose lived experiences may differ from our own? And how can the Enneagram continue to evolve as a tool that fosters understanding, belonging, and meaningful transformation?

In This Session, You Will Explore:

  • What inclusivity means within the context of Enneagram teaching and practice

  • The current state of representation across the Enneagram community

  • How practitioners can better support clients and participants navigating marginalization

  • The role of self-awareness, humility, and curiosity in creating more welcoming learning environments

  • Practical ideas for fostering greater belonging in coaching, therapy, leadership, and educational settings

  • Perspectives on the future of the Enneagram and the opportunities that lie ahead

Whether you are new to these conversations or have been engaged in this work for years, this panel offers an opportunity to listen, learn, and participate in a dialogue that is helping shape the future of the Enneagram community.

Join us for an honest, thoughtful, and forward-looking conversation as we explore what it means to truly expand the circle.

Typeish Personal Growth Summit

Registration is now open for the Type·ish Personal Growth Summit happening June 9–12, 2026.

If you know Tyler Zach, you know his Enneagram Summits are fun, informative and well-worth your time. I'm joining him for the first time to go beyond your "home type" (or Strategy as we say at ATA) to talk about the connecting points!

This free 4-day virtual event is designed for people who want to move beyond surface-level self-awareness and start using the Enneagram as a practical tool for real growth.

If I've worked with your team or coached you using the Enneagram, you know that I am all about PRACTICAL application of this model for growth, maturity and skill building. If we're not moving towards greater human flourishing, what's the point?

That's why I'm excited to be a part of this Personal Growth Summit.

Subtypes and Instinctual Biases Workshop

With Mario Sikora, Micky ScottBey Jones and Ahmad Wazir - Charlotte, NC

Register before December 15th to save $55!

Mario Sikora. Micky ScottBey Jones, and Ahmad Wazir will present the Awareness to Action Enneagram approach to working with the instinctual biases, an approach that is based on working with the Enneagram with individuals and groups of all kinds on five continents over the last 25 years. The Awareness to Action approach to the three instinctual biases—Preserving, Navigating, and Transmitting—expands on and updates the traditional concepts of these biases as three “instincts,” bringing them to life in a new way.

Mario, Micky, and Ahmad will present a model and structure that is simple, clear, and actionable. Attending this program will completely change the way you see the Enneagram, especially the often neglected dimension of the “instincts”. No prerequisites or additional knowledge required.

This workshop is perfect for coaches, therapists, consultants, spiritual directors and anyone interested in personal or professional development. This workshop confers 12 hours of IEA Accredited Professional Qualifying or Continuing Education hours.

After this workshop, you’ll understand:

  • What Instinctual Biases are - AND - are not!

  • How to combine Ennea-type strategies and Instinctual Biases for a more accurate personality profile

  • What the 27 Subtypes actually are and how they add nuance to understanding of the entire Enneagram model

  • Why Preserving Navigating and Transmitting are domains, not just “instincts” of Self-Preservation, Social and Sexual/ One-to-One (and no, it isn’t just a renaming thing!)

  • How to use Instinctual Biases to improve our relationships at home and at work

  • How to effectively grow using JUST this dimension of the Enneagram model

And more…

DATES: Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8 from 9:30 to 5:30 (ending at 4:30 on the 8th)

LOCATION: Epique Socials, 2015 Ayrsley Town Blvd, Suite 109B, Charlotte, NC

Listening at the Edges: Healing for our Broken World - Ireland Retreat

Listening at the Edges: Healing for Our Broken World

Gareth Higgins and Brian Ammons

with special guests Kaitlin Curtice and Micky ScottBey Jones

October 16th-24th, 2024

Kaitlin Curtice and Micky ScottBey Jones are two of the leading voices for the integration of activism for a better world with a more whole way of being as individuals. If the world we yearn for will not be built by merely complaining about what’s wrong, and if we seek wholeness for ourselves at the same time as aching for the suffering of others, we must find a way not only to live the change we want to see in the most broken places, but claim lives that embody the very love and connection that we want everyone else to experience. In our experience, Micky and Kaitlin help show the way. Our hosts Brian Ammons and Gareth Higgins can’t wait to share this space with Micky and Kaitlin, and hopefully you too. Our Ireland Retreat in October will be eight days of experiential learning, community, great food and walks, exquisite natural surroundings, open hearts and minds, and we expect something powerfully transformative can be born in us all. If it calls to you, come join us!

Applications are open now - click here to apply, and download the flyer below for more details.
